WolfKitty's 1969 Ford Mustang

This is my baby, a '69 Mustang Grande that I found up in Zionsville in February. I got her practically for a song (around $7700) and plan on pampering her as much as possible. ^_^

Her interior is still nearly perfect; the dash cover hides only a sun-faded original dash. She's got a new stereo and JVC rear dash speakers and is wired for a sub, but with the Flowmaster pipes, it's hardly necessary. :D

Ah, the engine.... This part has recently given me some trouble. She runs fine, don't get me wrong.... But the factory engine in this model was a 351 Windsor, and that's what I thought I had bought, until a couple days ago. A buddy of mine from work took a look under the hood because she was running a bit rough, and came up with the opinion that it is not, in fact, a Windsor, but rather a 302 Boss. Any comments? Second opinions?

awesome! I had a 70 coupe and now 2 67 coupes...one for my sone and the other a tossup whether to part it out or fix up...I like the 69-70 body styles the most (69 fronts are better)...kudos to you on a nice trio in your stable!!!

hello, your friend might be right the motor might infact be a boss 302. and if this is the case you just paid $7,700 for a car that might be worth up to $100,000 dallors. because of two reasons one it's a rare mustang and two the boss 302 motors are the most sought after motors of all mustangs. the best way to find out for sure is to write down the vin#, and get the numbers off the heads and the numbers off the block if you wanted i could look up the number sequences for the block and heads for you with this haulander book i have. all the numbers mean something diffrent like one stands for body type another would be for the year the car was manufacterd and so forth. whatever you do DO NOT!!!!! let any one work on the motor if you are not around to watch them. people aren't allways honest when it comes to cars if they know what there looking at it would be really easy to switch parts ie. heads and other things most of the time people can't tell the difference between a pair of heads by looking at them and there are those people out there that will take addvantage of that i know i've had a couple of people try it on me. the heads on your motor are worth at least $ 2,000 and proablly triple that if there 302 heads. you have a beatifull mustang oh yeah order yourself a haynes manual for you mustang it will show you step by step instructions on how to fix practally the whole car.
