//Senior Project - 2003
___________________________________________
My senior project is installing a computer in my car. It's been an idea for a long time now and i finally have a chance to do it.
List of parts for this project:
Via Epia-m 9000 @933mhz 256 DDR3100
40g Maxtor
350w ATX psu
800w 2 outlet dc-ac power inverter
Savv high res 7" flip down LCD 2 auxilary inputs
Pioneer DEH-9400p auxilary in
48x24x52x TDK(Mounted under CD player)
all in one wireless keyboard/mouse
The main piont for this project is so that i wanted to do this for a senior project is because i have a lot of experience building and customizing computers so to be able to build the type of computer to go in my car isn't a struggle. The hard part is to get everything placed right and setup to look professional while keeping it simple and easy to operate after insallation. I will be running windows xp on the system along with office xp. The features i'll be able to have with this computer is i will be able to play mp3's from the hard drive and i will be able to have a large amount of mp3's to choose from. I will be able to have playlists i can skip to parts in songs easily and best of all i don't need to mess with cd's. Also i will be able to play downloaded dvd's on this computer (divx movies) and watch them with surround sound and dvd quality. Working on homework or taking sometype of notes will be simple with office xp i will be able to open up word and type and save anything i would like. And if i desire to have the internet that will be available through wireless internet or by hooking my computer up to my cell phone for a connection.
To be done still:The only thing i haven't gotten finished yet is the new pioneer 9400 cd player that uses auxilary input that i will hook the audio of the computer up to so i can finally have audio! And i will have the cd-r/w mounted underneath the cd player so i can put more music on the computer or movies or just play movies off of it.
Here's the final product. These pictures are of the lcd displaying windows xp and the next picture is of the wireless keyboard/mouse that i use with the computer.

This is a pic of the keyboard/mouse alone. The cone that comes out on the keyboard is the mouse and the 2 buttons below it are the left and right buttons(kinda hard to use with one hand at times).

Here's pictures of the mounted computer behind the glovebox.

1st major thing i got done was getting the lcd mounted and wires run.
