I found myself more often then I would like going to pass another car or just not paying attention and suddenly noticing that I was going faster the I should be. I had thought about putting a radar detector in it before I left Indiana for the trip back to Arizona. I went to a couple of pawn shops thinking that I should be able to find a descent radar detector for a good price. The first place has a $25 k-mart special with an $80 price on it. The second place place didn't have anything. The third place had a really neat Whistler remote radar but it had $400 marked on it. I was not familiar with it but was sure it did not cost a whole lot more then that new. I made the drive back with out one. A couple of weeks ago I logged on to ebay and checked just for fun and found the same really neat radar in an auction that closed shortly and had no bids. I got it delivered for just over $100.

I decided to flush mount it in the spot where the factory clock was since the alpine cd has a clock on it, and the factory clock didn't work any more. I have been making better time to and from work since getting this car, a radar detector seems a better toy then the clock... This is just the display portion of the detector as the radar and laser sensors are seperate.

It was still a little chilly out when I finished installing it that morning at 10am.

Beautiful Mustang. I have always loved that color. Better than my plain ol' white anyways.
