SUPER SECRET UNDER CONSTRUCTION PICS
If you are in here you better know the super secret handshake!

I have a few things that I am working on that some people have requested build pics of. Please excuse the dust and mess around the pics as they are still in progress.... As I complete them I will move them into someplace more perminant.

The rear package tray cover had always bugged me as being ugly. It was flat and carpeted with two metal grills that poked out of it in a strange jelly bean shape. The only thing that made it flow with the rest of the car was a curved line that followed the window line around the entire enterior of the car. I kept that line and made two humps that follow the back seat(similar to a convertable tonnea top if you have ever seen one) and flow into that window line. The two sqare holes are for 2 of the 4 x-overs I need to run the 3 ways, These cross-overs are mounted to the top of the sub box and I will light them from the front to illuminate the inside of the x-overs. I also cut two 5.5" round holes using an udjustable circle cutter that is made for drywall. It went through it smooth enough that I then took a piece of the metal grill from the stock piece and cut it to fill this hole. I will used a little bondo to fill the grill into the rest of the piece so that it is flush. I hope to get the car painted someday and I will have this piece painted to match the exterior(same color, black gost racing stripes). I am happy with how they look now but I really question the long term durability of this since the metal and fiberlglass will invariably expand and contract at different rates.

I was doing a little cleaning up when I found what was left of the rear factory grills that I cut up. I didn't think there was much left worth keeping until I saw the little metal tag that was on each grill. I was a brushed metal tag that said "MACH460 FORD" on it and I wondered it I could put something else on the tag and use it to personalize the project a little more. I carefully used my buffing wheel and my trusty flitz buffing compound and was amazed at how well they polished up. I think I will have MACH SCOTT written on them and re-attach them to the new grills. The Front factory tweeters had the same tag on them. I will only use this tweeter for my handsfree bluetooth system but I thought I would personalize these as well.

Some of the grill material came loose while I was removing the tags so I decided to cover them with some new material. Aftet stairing at the tweeter the night before getting the material I decided that this would be another opportunity to put a subtle change that may draw someones attention to it. I will also have MACH SCOTT written on these tags so they will stay in the "under construction" page

I began to accumulate too many powered accesories in my dash between the ext sirius unit, the radar, leds, ect so I decided to upgrade to a pg power source to make it clean and neat. I was able to mount it under the power seat so it is easy to get to and replace if needed. I modified it to put a voltmeter in the cover so that I will know what the voltage is. Go figure the meter burned out, it will be replaced shortly.

I like the look the wheels have with the chrome around the black and wanted to contiue that theme. The hood has some nonfunction vents that add a little attitude. The only problem I had is that they are black on a dark car and tend to dissappear. I painted the outsed of the grill silver but it just looked cheap. I made these bezels out of stainless and polished them up to make them really shiney. Now the only problem is that they tend to reflect the paint and almost blend in but when you notice them then it is a nice detail, I am all about the details.... I think I will do the same to the vents on the side, just infront ot the wheels.

Had somebody ask if there was anyplace that made a usb port in a mustang coin holder so he could use his jump-drive with his radio that was usb ready. I didn't know of any but said I could make one and this is what came out of it. Let me know if anyone else wants one

This is a system I built for a friend in a ranger before I moved to arizona. The challeng in this system was that he didn't want me to make any perminant modifications to the vehicle, and also didn't want to draw too much attention. It came out well in the end as the only hole I put in the car was for the power wire and it could be returned completly to stock.

need help with that bolt.....
