Stereo

I am now working on what will be my third stereo in this car. It is as follows. I have a JL 500/1 running to a JL 10 W7, a JL 300/4 which is bridged and is pushing a set of JL XR components in the front, giving them 150 watts to each channel, and an Alpine MRV-T757, which is pushing a set of JL VR 6x9's giving them a little over 100 watts per channel. I also have a 1 farad capacitor running to the amps. My wiring is mostly Monster Cable with the exeption of some speaker wire and RCA's which are Stinger and 2 Rockford Fosgate distribution blocks. One for power and one for ground.

Here is the JL XR components. The 6 1/2 midbass is located in the stock location and the 1 inch tweeters have been flush mounted a few inches above the midbass and swiveled so that they aim at the listeners.

Here is my new JL 10 W7. It has replaced 2 12 W3's. The W7 is rated at 500 watts rms which was the same as the 2 12's combined. Suprisingly this one 10 is quite a bit louder than the 2 12's and double the sound quality. Also the 10 is cabable of playing much lower bass notes. I built the enclosure myself using 1 inch and 3/4 inch mdf board going by the exact specifications given by JL for thier vented enclosure.
