This is my 1968 Triumph Vitesse, the Spitfire is a cool car but this ain't one, similar motor I've been told. My boyfriend and I have done a lot of work to it (well lets say I supervised or did the easy stuff and he did the bulk if not all of the work).
The original motor is in the car and so far runs well since the carbies have been re-kited. I would describe it as a shopping trolley with a broken wheel, but have been told that a simple wheel balance would solve that.
It took 6 months to get the Vitesse road legal and painted, everything is pretty close to original apart from the Momo Steering Wheel, the KPS dumpie thanks to Brad at YHI Limited (my lil bro) and the Matt Black paint job. Not that I am a purist or anything, but the idea of changing the motor and all of the other bits attached to it sounds hard and expensive, (not to mention confusing, boring etc etc - hey I'm a chick!!) So the shiny add ons or 'bling bling' will do me.

You will also find my boyfriends car on this site; Triumphmad, it's the mad as 1966 Triumph Herald listed as a Spitfire, same scenario as my car, the closest thing to it on this site. Have a look, leave a message in our guestbooks and tell us what you think.
