You know what it looks like stock so I'll leave those pictures for the brochure.

These pics are of the E with the drop in progress. 1st pic is with the front done and the second is with both. I did the drop myself and it was pretty easy. If you have any mechanical ability and some basic tools I think most do-it yourselfers could handle it. I really like the drop and the ride isn't too much different. The big change is in how it handles...so much better!

Here are the rims...

I chose Axis Decades, 18x8 with the Offset lip on the back & Dunlop Sport Maxx 245/45/ZR18 tires. The tires where a bit pricey but they really make a huge difference in how the E handles as well as a much better & quiet ride.

Finally installed the cold-air intake a few weeks ago. Decided to go with an AEM. Really a top quality product. The instructions where great and made the install a breeze. I went with a polished silver version and it looks really clean under the hood. The new intake gave the engine a bit more punch on the top end and a nice growl when you put the spurs to it but not much change on the low end.

Since there is no ECU chip to replace, I've been looking into sending the ECU in to be reprogrammed and see if I can get a bit more on the low end and maybe adjust the shift points. Saw over on the EOC site that someone's working on a turbo...Hmmmmm! Here's a pic of the finished intake...Next is the exhaust.

Got the exhaust done this week. Did a bunch of research and found nothing as far as headers at all, nada, zip! Couldn't find prefab catback system other than the Injen setup. Problem is, this is only for 2wd E's! Not sure why but that's what it is. So if you want a prefab exhaust system and you have AWD, you're outta luck. At least for now.

Here's a couple of tips if you're going to do your exhaust. 1St - In my research for the new system, everyone who changed the stock system ended up with the infamous 70 mph "drone". It shows up at cruising speed on the highway. Your new system needs to include some sort of resonator as well as a muffler. You need both. Don't try to save on this...trust me, you'll end up putting it on later anyway!

I haven't found a header that will fit yet so that remains stock as is the cat. I replaced both the stock resonator and the muffler and enlarged the pipe to 2.25" stainless from the "cat" back. Both are Magnaflow. The resonator is a round 4" x 30" straight through in the stock location and the muff is a small 11" oval behind the axle with a nice double walled stainless tip. I had the tail pipe moved up about 3' so it's not just hanging out in space like the stock pipe. It sounds sooooo nice! Not too loud but it has a nice deep purrr stepping up to a growl when accelerating. A shop did the work so no pics on this.

Ok, took a couple of hours and "cleared" the headlights! Was a really simple thing to do and I think it looks great. Once you have the amber lenses out you'll need to use amber bulbs. I ordered some online that have a mirror finish on the outside so you don't see the amber color until you turn them on.

It's not a hard mod be careful if you decide to do it. You only need to set the oven to about 200 and leave them in for about 8 minutes to open them up. Here's a link for some help if your gonna try it. It's compliments of E-Shen over at the EOC.

Changed out that damn whimpy horn!!!
626ele's 2006 Honda Element No Air box = lots of room for horns!

Changed out those amber side markers for some clear ones. Ordered them on E-bay. These where really easy to swap out too maybe 10 minutes. Been looking at some LED's to finish the look as I don't like the stock bulbs I have in them now. Here's a couple of pics of the new ones.

Future stuff is going to include:
- Sparco Seats & Belts
- Alpine stereo\amp\speakers setup
- Hopefully a turbo setup
- Get rid of the blue in the interior
- Brembo Brakes

My next lump of dough will be going to the Sparco seats. Just need to figure out how to mount the restraint bar for the seat belts and still be able to use the back seats...Hmmmm.

Don't forget to sign the guest book and let me know what you think!

Phil, it good to know that you're finally coming out of the cocoon and getting back to modding your "E". That is one clean Element, and I'm glad to see that you're ready to put it back on the front burner. I'll be looking forward to seeing you at the Pomona Meet! Let's get some new pix of your ride up! "WELCOME BACK!!!" Peace, Chief
