*******In a way, im sad to say this, but as of July 3, 2008, this car no longer belongs to me.*********** i didnt really want oto part with it, but the tranny leak kept getting worse, the windshield was broken, thanks to some dumbass on a back road, the rust hole was growing, the starter was bed, 4 the fifth time, n just a whole bunch of shit, so i traded up for a white, four door, 2002, grand am gt.

Does anyone know how to change the dash speakers on these cars cuz I'm pretty sure one of mine is blown and I wanna change it, any input would be great, thanks.

******UPDATE****** So last sunday im comin home from my dads, i get to the top of this hill on a back road i take, bout 4 miles long, the hills well within the first mile, but neway, i get to the top of the hill, my RPM gauge drops to comlete 0, my speedo starts droppin, n everytime i hit the gas, the pedal goes to the floor n the speedo drops faster, so i pull over on the side of the road, open the hood n instintivley look for leaks, everythings dry, so i go n try to start it, it turns but sounds like it might explode if i keep tryin, so i gave up, locked it, rolled up my windows n stood outside of the car, Went to call someone, n wouldnt you kno it, my phones is completly dead, like wont even turn on dead, so im like well fuck, so i start walkin towrds my house, keep in mind its bout 3 n a half miles away from where im at n there is absolutley nothing between me n my house but corn, plus its bout to storm like a motherfucker. So im walkin n cars start passin me, no one even gives me a second look, sept one girl i knew, who waved at me n kept goin, but neway, someone pulled over, i used thier phone to call mt gma to come pick me up, when i got home i called my dad, told him what happened, n he told me he'd come look at it. so bout an hour later, he calls me n says my motor is totally fucked, sounds like its been runnin dry n jus blew, but i had jus checked the oil 5 days b4 that n it was full, so i was like wth?, so he got the car started drove it to my house, checked my oil cuz he was tryin to prove me wrong, n ended up provin me right, it was full. Turns out, two lobes on my cam copletly rounded off, like totally cicular. So everything is copesetic now, got a ne engine, put it in in 4 days, thats countin goin to work, n skool, homecoming, the game, ang the pep rally, all three of which are on seperate consecutive days, so id say not bad, but yea, shes back on the road 4 a week as of today, runnin good, fingers crossed, n everythings ight now, cept i need a window track 4 my drivers window, no biggie, its october 14th in Illinois, chances are, my windows wont be down 4 a while now.

*****Update***** I got everything put in and hooked up, it doesnt sound like i had hoped, not sure if i went 2 cheap on the subs or if its cuz my power wire is 2 small, either way, im workin on it. Well, the car is officially mine, jus washed it earlier, id put up pics, but i jus thought of it last min, its 3 in the morning, n the lighting outside my house sux, so it'll hafta wait till morning, ill get pics of my trunk 2, warning tho, its nasty.....peace till tomarrow

****Update**** I got my amp in the mail bout 2 weeks ago or a lil more, sry, havent had a chance 2 get on n update. I ran the wiring for my amp kit last Sunday, thought itd b a good idea 2 do b4 i had everything that way i wasnt in any real hurry. Dont worry, theres no fuse in the power cable n its not hooked 2 the batery quite yet, jus got bored n thought id get it out of the way. Ran the remote bass adjuster to the drivers side of my center consel so its outta the way but still at a safe distace 2 reach while driving. I got my box this past Sunday, truck box for two 12s, vented n ported, $30. I figured since i wanted trunk space i might as well try a truck box with my subs before i went throught the hassle of makin one. The only thing i was concerned with was the mounting depth of my subs, but they fit in the box perfectly, i think they ight just barely rest on the back, but it looks good. I think im gonna mount the amp right in front of the sub box, that way it'll stay nice and cool, plus its got 2 blue LEDs under each of the 2 chrome "braces" on either side, so that'll help 2 light up the subs @ night. I'm debating on whether or not 2 paint my subs, i know it sounds kinda stupid, but i figured, the cars blue, i wanna light them in blue, n their orange right now, that might clash a lil 2much. Either that or it'll look 2 Broncoish, n my girlfriend would kill me if she knew i was down talkin em. Idk, i was thinkin of paintin the cones a gunmetal metalic version of Duplicolor rim finish, and then the cones a saphire blue metalic, or the other way around, or just all blue, or just all gunmetal, i havent decided yet, its really hard 2 tape off the surrounds though, so im prolly just gonna leave em like they are. Neway, hopefully gonna be hookin up everything this weekend, if Girlfriend time doesnt clash, not that thats a bad thing, but ill let u know, n ill try n get pics up asap

***Update*** I got my fines paid off n sent out the money orders 4 my amp last wednesday so it should b here by the middle of this week, i think ive decided 2 go w a truck box to save trunk space instead of a custom one, temporarily at least. I can get one from my friend 4 20 bucks so ill prolly end up doin that. Still havent done the rear deck yet, been busy, hopefully this weekend tho. Sposed 2 b buyin a 87 cutlass w t-tops, true duals, gray int. a fresh black paint job, n a 355 for $600 from my friends dad but he hasnt decided yet what he wants for a down payment, really hopin 2 get it tho, i want a toy for nice days, ill keep yall up dated

**Update** I got my Dynamat n its completly installed, cept 4 the rear deck, I wasnt gonna do it but now sice the rest of the trunks done it rattles kinda bad w just the old tubes n 2 non amped 250 watt 8s. I got my subs, not sure if I told yall that yet or not, waitin 4 it to warm up to build a custom box so I'll have trunk space. got the money order 4 my amp n was bout 2 mail it but had 2 go to etronics 2 check the adress, figured i'd check n make sure the price was still the same since they raised it 4 the subs right b4 I ordered em n it wasn't. Its only 5 bucks more but I got legal fines I gotta pay at the moment so unfortunatley its gettin put on the back burner 4 a couple of months. Not 2 worry tho, as soon as my fines r paid the amp'll get ordered n a short time after that my box should b made. I'll try n get pics of the instal n build up, since I 4got 2 with the Dynamat.

The fenders wrinkled cuz my dad blew the tire doin 90 on the way back from Alabama. great fun, had to look down a highway a 8:30 @ nite 4 all the trim n rewiere the headlights cuz GM thought it was a good idea to run all the wires directly above the tire behind a piece of rubber-like plastic.

My dads work in progress
1990 Chevy 1500 Long bed regular cab with a fresh 350 and custom flowmaster dual exaust. Has minor rust damage and need alot of brake work before its done, but its a nice truck. Its his baby, hes had it for about three years now. It had a 6 cylinder in it when he bought it and it blew, which was okay cause he planned on swapping in a 350 anyway.
