My head unit is a Pioneer DEH P6600. It has the animated displays like the dolphins swimming, etc. I can also hook my Video iPod up to it via direct connect. It also has F,R and Sub outputs for amps, a big improvement over the 6400 model I had.
The rear deck speakers have been replaced by 6x8 Pioneer TS's, and there are 6.5" Alpine Type S's in the doors. These speakers are powered by an MTX Thunder amp. I finally replaced that Bolt Amp I had, and the sound is a lot better!
I have an Audiobahn amp that puts out 800 watts per channel. I have it hooked up to a 10" Kenwood Typhoon Sub in a Q Logic box, which sounds great! Its a truck style box and fits pretty well in my trunk without taking up all the space. The deck speakers use QTC baffles, which improves the sound.
Bolt amp mounted between deck speakers. Audiobahn amp on seatback. (Old picture, I have the MTX amp now instead of the Bolt).
I finally mounted my 7.2" LCD screen that was in my Explorer a year ago. I ended up mounting it to the back of the center console. It works out pretty well there and keeps the kids entertained. I have a mini-sized PS1 in there too which fits great between the center console and back seat. I took the seats out to run the wiring properly, and added a distribution block. A DVD player is under the seat.
