the brake and front end rebuild
The local high school has an excellent automotive program and offered to do the work on my car . . . Collecting ALL parts for a front end rebuild. . . 1967 Nova Master Cylinder DRUM/DRUM 2 - Upper Ball Joints 2 - Lower Ball Joints 2 - Front shocks 2 - Rear shocks 2 - Tie rod ends outer 2 - Tie rod ends inner 1 - Idler arm 1 - Pitman arm 2 - Upper Control Arm Bushings 2 -Lower Control Arm Bushings 2- Lowered Springs 2- Strut Rod Bushings used (read classic-original) Sway Bar w/new link kit & bushings Front shoes Rear shoes Brake spring kit 2 - Front wheel cyl 2 - Rear wheel cyl 2-Front brake hoses Rear brake hose Front drums Park brake cables Axel seals Rear end gasket One upper A arm Powder coated Front hubs with new bearings and seals Powder coated front springs cut down for a 2inch drop Installed by the top 2 grade 12 students under the watchful eye of the shop teacher Mr. Siemers . . Total labour to install all of the above parts ...$85
. The only thing installed at this point that wasn't "period correct" was the '67 dual port master cyl. That was done for safety and the students did a great job of running the new brake lines. . .
Final product . . . . .
2 whole years later after the above work I finally got the back end lowered.
This work was done at L.G. Kustoms in Edmonton.
No kit is available to lower the monoleaf so James designed one on the spot to lower the
back end 2 1/2 inches
