The power of Legendary Toyota,The power of [3][S]

This is my pride, my most favorite car since I was a kid. My first Toyota MR2 was a Revision 1, 1991 G-Limited T-Bar model which equipped with Naturally Aspirated 3SGE. It’s the most fun revving car I have ever had. It’s a base model. I had this car back in 2003 until 2005. Got it in bad shape, major build up carried out, with new paint and body kits. It was sold to an MR2 fans. I was hunting for a rare Revision 4 Toyota MR2 Turbo, which in timely manner I was in real luck. I finally manage to get a 1996 Revision 4 Toyota MR2 GT-S Turbo, which was brought in from Japan and in very much new condition. It’s a Toyota Japan 10th Anniversary model. This is absolutely rare here, a revision 4 MR2 here in Brunei Darussalam are at countable of only 5! Added to the rareness, it’s a hardtop model. What’s the difference between Rev.1 and Rev.4? It’s Major!

1. For the engine wise, Rev.4 3SGTE is equipped with CT20 turbocharger while Rev.1 3SGTE gets an old CT26 Turbocharger. Injector duty cycles are big differences. If you’re an MR2 fan, you should know all this stuff. Horsepower figure for Rev.4 is a bit higher than Rev.1. Boost figure definitely safely higher than Rev.1. Rev.4 got traction control, while Rev.1 doesn’t.

2. For the transmission wise, Rev.4 E153 gearbox is equipped with Helical LSD while Rev.1 doesn’t get any LSD except optional. The shifter on Rev.4 is much shorter throw than Rev.1.

3. For the braking wise, Rev.4 have bigger brake discs than on Rev.1.

4. For the safety wise, Rev.4 got driver’s and passenger’s side SRS airbag while Rev.1 doesn’t have any even as an optional except for rev.2 and Rev.3.

5. For the suspension wise, Rev.4 suspension geometry is much more rigid and stiffer but acceptable comfort than Rev.1

6. For the exterior wise, Rev.4 and Rev.3 got the round shaped rear brake light with flush centre panel as reverse lights, Rev.4 got the clear front and side indicator while Rev.1 only got the old flat version taillights with Honeycomb centre panel, amber colored front and side indicator. Rev.4 got the new facelift front lips and rear spoiler while Rev.1 only got the old 3 piece flush spoiler.

7. For the interior wise, Rev 4 got the four spoke air bag equipped steering wheel, while Rev.1 got the 3 spoke without air bag. Rev.4 power steering wheel is much smoother and lighter than Rev.1, which is reasonably heavy. Obviously both revisions have black leather. Rev.4 got the side MR2 kickplates, which prove this version was an anniversary model while rev.1 doesn’t get any.

I’m posting all the details and description to share specifically for any MR2 Fans out there. Enjoy the pictures below. Knowledge is power. Happy modding and beautifying to all respective random modifier out there. Not here for rating.
