HaesMan's 1973 MG MGB

This was my Grandfather's car and he and my dad ended up getting it by helping a 'damsel in distress' who had blown the engine and didn't want to pay for repairs so she sold it to him. My dad already had one so he helped my Grandfather do a complete rebuild in I think the early 80s. They took the thing completely apart in my grandfather's garage and rebuilt it and painted it the original color, maroon. My grandfather drove it on nice days and gave me many rides in it when I was a little kid. I knew it as "Baba's sports car." He parked it in 1994 when he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He recovered but then developed skin cancer and sadly he passed away in 1997. It has been sitting in 3 different garages over the past 12 years. So now that I'm driving and able this is my latest project. I'd say about 75% there, just need to install the fuel pump and the electrical for it, finish the radiator refurbishing, get a clutch, and body work as I go along.

I like the British touring look and the 4-speed wooden shift knob.

Those Brits are pretty smart. They put the battery under the back seat (most would call it a back seat, but I dare you to sit back there), and the ELECTRIC FUEL pump is located directly below the battery. Include in the comments if you find something wrong with that LoL.

First get rid of that lucas fuel pump and put in a bosh (german made). It will mount up in the same hole. Dad had a 73B for 10years and tells stories about how many lucas pumps he went thru. He realy loved that car. Any questions let me know and I'll ask him.
