bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Here's the trunk after owning the car for a month. I need to do some housecleaning.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Underside of trunk. Note how rotted it is.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Inside. Again with the rot.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle And so on
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle NEW!! 1 piece trunk floor. Time to start cutting out the old trunk floor.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle I decided to cut out the center section first. That way i could work inside without putting my weight on the rear of the vehicle.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle There now to finish  the cancer removal.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Now all the panels are off it's time for some serious grinding.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Well this pic shows the extent of panel removal.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Same panel just different view. Believe me it neccessary to replace all this the  body mount cage nuts were rotted off as well as the bumper bracket mounting holes.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Someone told me that in order to put this 1 piece trunk floor in i had to remove a quarter panel. Maybe so with the body on the frame.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Just started welding it in.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Power trunk release latch installed. I ran a jumper wire over to my friends battery and test fired the release button. It works like a charm.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Wire routing for trunk accessories, including the factory clips.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Drilled and and mounted the trunk release buuton in the correct location.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle underside of thr trunk at the drivers side dropoff showing off the welds.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Same view pss side.

bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Just finished cutting out the rotted parts of the wheel wells.
bubba271's 1971 Chevrolet ChevelleHere's the panel i fabbed up to replace the rotted metal.
<IMG 148 r> Now it's welded in. By the way this work has been done in 10 deg weather. This is not a heated garage. BRRRRRRR. FYI i HATE the cold weather.
<IMG 149 l> Picture of the trunk view of the new panel.
<IMG 150 r> All ground down waiting for primer.

<IMG 151 l> Put the trunk pan plugs in.
<IMG 155 r> Pic of th e pass side inner wheel well patch i made istalled and grinded down.
<IMG 159 l> ORIGINAL 1971 CHEVELLE BUMPER JACK. Ebay : $100.00
<IMG 160 r> The jack after i media blasted it then painted with por15.

Very nice ride, definitely a five starPlease come and check out our 1984 CJ-7, We Call B.O. "Blue Ox" It was hand built with help from Randy's Off Road Connection in Marysville, WA. Clean this thing up and you will win trophies at the local truck show. The front and rear axles were built by CURRIE ENTERPRISES. They both are 6 LUG DANA 44's w/ 11" brake kit and 4:56 gears. The Jeep also has Curries heavy duty rock crawler tie rods, drag links and steering box brace kit. The rear axle has the DETROIT LOCKER and the front has ARB AIR LOCKER. It was lifted 6 inches with Curries rock crawler springs that are connected to the frame with welded Currie spring hangers. NO LOW HANGING SHACKLES HERE" We get the power to them thru curries balanced custom rock crawler CV drive shafts. It rolls on Mickey Thomson rims W/ 35" SUPER SWAMPER SSR's. I also had them sipped for more wet weather/ winter traction. I keep her riding smooth with RANCHO RS9000 shocks. If it gets stuck I can pull her out with the Warn HS9500I winch. The paint is glacier blue with black interior Water proof bucket seats and full custom roll cage.

you putting factory AC on an AC car or something else? If you are then its pretty straight forward. New O-rings and new dryer. I adjusted my POA valve for R134 and the temps got to 30* out the vents on a fairly warm day. I cant remember how much I did but I think it was a quarter turn. Ill have to look it up.
