Old rotted firewall body mount.
Used ones from a yard in the south.
Here's the same ones after i trimmed the old floor pans off and media blasted them.
The floor is rotted beyond being saved. It looks like a metal quilt. Needs 1 peice floor pan, all body mount braces, rear pan under seat, inner and outer rockers, and both front toe pans. Thats a lot of work. Or..........
I could install this complete floor pan and toe pans.
Well i finally broke down and purchased it. Man is it huge!
Two twelve foot sticks of 1x1 steel square tube. This what i'm bracing the body with while the floor is getting cut out and put back in.
Now it is all measured, cut, and welded in. Time to cut out the cancer.
Here we go.
Rear floor pan gone.
Old floor. Anybody need a quilt?
Rockers cut out.
Another view.

Dryfit on the floor.
The floor is in. Now i just have to weld it in yet.
Well it's partially welded in.
Cut out the pieces of the driver side toe pan that were rotted.
Here's the new firewall lower fender mount/inner rocker panel attaching panel. I fabbed it out out of some storage shelves that were laying around.
Comparison pics of old parts and newer better condition ones. The piece beside the new one came off the cab mounts i bought from N.C.,not off the chevelle.
The piece on the left is an actual part off this chevelle. If this gives you any indication of the level of neglect this car has seen.
The driver side toe pan going in.
Inside pic of the same panel.
New panel i fabbed up installed
New cab mount installed. I painted the cab mounts with por15 before welding them in. I just wish to have 3 70 degree days in a row while im off work to paint the interior and underside with por15.
I just had to see how the new carpet looked in there. Now i really want this floor done.
Time to stop screwing around. I fabbed up the passenger side bracket and welded it in.
There now the pass side toe pan is in.
Interior pic of the pass side toe pan installation.
Here's frank cleaning up the drill holes on the 4 speed hump. He's a hell of a worker.
Put the floor pan plugs in.
Started installing the steering column and harness connections.
View of the rear seat pan.
The side reinforcement braces had to be cut out and cut apart, cleaned, and welded back in so they would fit properly. While they were out i now had access to weld in the rest of the panel behind it. Once that was done i seamsealed them.
Hers the drivers side sealed up. Also the bracket is sat in front of it for a dry fit.
Welded the seat brackets on, cleaned the threads on the sealbelt bolt holes, And but not least sealed the inner wheel wells at the floor. Frank did the pass side, i did the drivers side.
Here's the reinforcements cut to size and positioned to fit the side panels then welded flush to the floor.
Finally put the new pass side cab mount on and finished that side of the floor.
AHH seamsealer.
Finished the left front floor.
Started putting the interior back together.
New parts.
Installed the 4 spd shifter hump, and the console rear mounting bracket.
Body plug that i got, from my friends over at muscle cars only.
