Here is what i started with. A less than complete a/c setup
Test fitting of the condenser.
After cleaning and straightening the fins with a radiator comb. Also bead blasted the mounting brackets and painted semi gloss.
Test fitting of the evaporator core suitcase.
Yikes! This was a fire just waiting to happen. The dust and debris was up to the blower resistor.
The other side just as filthy.
Evaporator core before.
Still kinda before but it's vacuum'd off and the the tubes are clean.
Brought this up to the house and cleaned the hell out of it. Not ready to go in just yet. i still have to bead blast, prime and paint the POA bracket. Just the same looks a lot better.
Got my big block a/c brackets and just had test fit them.
Here's the new brackets right out of the bead blast cabinet at work. Did this after my 12 hr shift.
Here they are all painted and on the engine.
Test fitting the a/c firewall. I only have a vague idea where it should go.
More test fitting.
Traced the firewall outline when i was satisfied of its position.
Look at that GAPING hole!!!
Test fitting before final trim and welding.
After some mild cleaning
Completely torn down and cleaned

Test fit inside the car.
Another view without the duct.
Now with the dash installed
Another view of ducting.
Checking clearances.
Again.
And once more.
Overall a success!!! I'm thrilled how this is turning out.
Welds ground down, filler applied, sanded down, and painted. Now for the fun part putting everything back together now.
Bought another a/c wiring harness for a 71 chevelle 20.00 ebay. I took the two of them and made one good one.
Also got this off ebay for a dollar!!!! Original pass side dash vent duct hose in great condition.
