Slammed50's 1950 Chevrolet Panel Van

Here is a shot of my Sedan Delivery before the project got started. It has a 235 in-line six with a three on the tree backing it.

Here is a shot of the single back door. Gotta love the one factory tail light!

Here it is in the shop getting torn down to pull the body off of the old frame so that measurements can happen for the new one.

These are the beginings of the frame rails. Those kick ups will allow me to lay frame on thirty inch overall diameter tires. It really doesn't get much better than that.

This shot shows my double tube x-member and part of my four link. With the johnny joints on the axle end I will be able to hit F/B/S/S with no problems.

This is the good stuff now. My slam bags are mounted to that cross beam and will look as though they are floating above the axle. Those side tubes are for my body mounts. It will also tie into my lower link bar.

I will be keeping the 235 six but back it with a 200-4R for cruising. Eventually I want to step up to a 292 six for a little more power.

These are the rear bags in place and plumbed. They have a seven inch travel.

This is my driveshaft loop with lower front link bar mounting points. They still need a few gussets but other than that...

Another shot of the full frame out side with the rims that I will be using(but there will be 3 1/2" white walls wrapping them.).

My custom Mustang II crossmember with tubular control arms.

More shots of the rear bag cross member.

One of my personal favorites. A shot of my three inch ride height!

A shot in the shop of the layout for the three inch chop.

The "B" pillars and door tops removed to make room for the roof.

Slammed50's 1950 Chevrolet Panel Van

The roof completely cut off ready for the trimming and fitment.

Slammed50's 1950 Chevrolet Panel Van

The roof cut, fit and tack welded back on to the delivery.

A little stripe work done by Jon Boy Pinstriping, he's the man.

Back home in the driveway with quite a bit more wok to go.

More pictures of progress to come shortly!

nice chop. I just put a posi with 411's in my 50 sedan delivery Now I have to find a trans cross member. The one I had fabricated is too weak. I have a 383 SB chevy backed by a 400 turbo. So it is off on the hunt.. One never stops building. Sedan delivery's rule! seamus
