Page 5 2009-2011 Wilwood ProSpindle Suspension InstallationHere are some pictures of the ProSpindle (Wilwood part number 830-10832) front suspension project begun in Aug 2009. It was a major re-design requiring many new and modified existing parts, and continued into the winter of 2010-2011. The ProSpindle is 0.4" shorter than the OEM 65-73 spindles and has a 10 degree ICA vs 8 for the stock spindle. The main purpose for using the new spindle was that it utilized a bolt on steering arm, allowing me to design a rear steer arm with a short (and adjustable) offset appropriate for use with the GM J-car rack as well as the stock and other aftermarket rack and pinions not based on the J-car rack.Using the Wilwood spindles, hubs, hats, and rotors, I was able to make a 17x9" wheel fit without a spacer!. The turn radius is on par with any modern car, and the 2.5 turns lock to lock, minimizes the turns of the wheel.
