For Sale. This is my 1966 Caprice, 95K miles on the original 283 and Power-glide tranny. Still has Protect-O-Plate, manual and accessory booklet. This is a true survivor car and unmolested. I got it about a year ago with 86k miles on it, and it's been completely dependable since. I added the 18" wheels and ContiSport low profile tires, recovered the seats, laid new carpet, replaced all 4 springs with 1 1/2 drop springs, replaced the master cylinder, all 4 wheel cylinders, new soft brake lines, new shoes, turned the rotors and replaced all of the front suspension bushings. Everything works on this car...even the cig lighter! Also, JUST installed new heater core. It came with the cool under-dash aftermarket A/C unit and has the compressor and all hooked up, as well as the original AM radio still there. This thing starts with the first turn of the key every morning...middle of a Missouri winter or in the heat of the summer. I drive this car everyday and it turns A LOT of heads. Never fails to spark up conversations at the car wash or even stop lights!
The car looks to have one repaint of the original color, and hasn't been messed with otherwise. Body panels are lined perfectly. The frame is great, the floors are rock solid, and it's not full of Bondo like most cars this age. It spent many years in Georgia, and it shows. The glass is perfect except for a SMALL chip on the passenger side of the windshield that happened last summer. No cracks. I've still got the original hubcaps in the trunk, along with the original spare tire and jack. As you can see in the pics, the chrome is in amazing shape.
