Purchased for $500.00 in April of 2005, it needs some work fmc56's 1963 Ford Econoline

The first thing I did was install a 200 cu. in. 6 cylinder engine from a 1971 Ford Maverick. Original 50,000 miles. Eventually I will change over to an automatic. I also installed a complete wiring harness from a 67 van including the 2 speed wiper motor and converted it to intermittent. I also used the 67 under dash style heater and added a GM internal regulator alternator. With a simple tuneup it fired right up a runs smoothly. I have replaced the radiator, all the hoses, fuel lines, brake lines, brake hoses, brake cylinders, brake shoes, shocks, dual reservoir master cylinder, starter and u-joints.

The next step was to take care of the rusted front floor. Again I used parts from a 67 van, most of the front floor pan.

Keep up the excellent work. That's one rare truck so it's time well spent. Nice job!

Really impressive. I'm building a '61 Econoline right now. I like the door panels that you put in. Did you make these? Thanks, Donn

Hello Fred, Awesome van! Your work looks great. Your van will be better than the day it was built once you're done. 5 stars Take care, Jeff
