This is my Merkur XR4Ti, its a very rare car (I only see about 3 a year), these cars also have a lot of potential if you have the knowhow.

Its called the "virgin" because compared to the XR4's my friends have its prettymuch a virgin in the way of work done to it, It's also one of the best looking and most mint XR4's around.

BASIC: Mine is a 5 speed with every option excapt for heated front seats. They come standard with a sunroof, power locks/ doors/ and mirrors. The drivetrain is RWD on the european seirra platform, and the sole engine is a 2.3L turbocharged 4cylinder, many experts consider this one of the finest engines ford has ever produced and this platform one of the best handing of the 80's.
MECHANICAL WORK: Ive done some work on my XR, it has a cold air intake, Mustang SVO VAM, SVO computer, a 3 inch catless side exit exhaust with a magnaflow straight through muffler and a 3 inch exhaust housing elbow on the rebuilt turbo. The turbo, a garrett t3 has been rebuilt with the 3 inch elbow and a larger .42A/R hot side housing, the exhuast manifold was also replaced with a 40bob set of log headers. I added a SAAB 9000 intercooler and a porshe bypass valve, the front brakes have been upgraded to 283mm rotors, also the tires have been upgraded to potenza RE90's which stick like glue. Finally, the boost has been turned up to about 19PSI. I don't list any of these in the associated pages because they have been done by my friends and I at a very strict budget, using junkyard parts, and having nothing to do with any licensed companies. I consider this the real way to work on one's car, to make parts fit or work rather than buying parts that take a few bolts to add.

STEREO: I gave the stereo a full overhall with an Alpine CDA9815 headunit, three Boss audio amplifiers with a total 3500Watt RMS power at 2ohms, and finally the speakers are Infinity Kappa perfects all around 5.25" in the front and 6.5" rear with a 12" Kappa Perfect subwoofer in a sealed box in the hatch.
