PimpLark's 1990 Buick Skylark

I got this car off a local dealer's wholesale lot for $300 back in April. I was amazed because for a 16 year old New England car, it had almost no rust and only 90,000 miles. The previous owner was a little old lady who had owned it since '93 and had traded in for a newer Buick. The only thing I've actually added to the car outside is APC ultra white high beams and Pilot Motorsports hyper-white running lights.

The ass end of the car. I'd take the trunk rack and vinyl roof off, but it'd leave holes in the trunk lid and the I have no money to repaint the roof. The taillight bar looked gay at night, so I removed the bulbs in the center of the light. I also have installed a set of neons and a new muffler.

The interior was in excellent shape when I got the car. The horn button and clockspring got fucked up, so I installed a button below the dimmer switch. I also replaced the original mini console with a $4.00 CarQuest full console.

Since the pedals are kinda fugly, I got a cheap $3.00 set of pedal covers.

When I first got the Skylark, it had a basic AM/FM radio with no cassette. This was replaced with the radio out of a Blazer, then a Grand Am CD/EQ, deck, and now a Pioneer DEH-4600MP. (Yes, I have audio ADD :)

The Sirius radio is great for the commutes to school and work.

I also replaced the stock dash speakers with cheapo Lightning Audio ones.

My first box was a $15 piece of shit Roadmaster from Walmart hooked up to a used 50 watt Optimus amp. I replaced that with a 10" Visonik sub and matching 120 watt amp.

This car came with the 2.5L 4-banger and 3 speed automatic. Its okay on gas, if you consider 18 mpg good.I sprayed the air filter with copper Rustoleum because its what I had and it covered the rust. The original 74-amp alternator was replaced by an 85-amp one after it died.

Gotta love the stock 13" steelies and Custom 428 tires. I know someone with a set of mint 15" OZs he's looking to get rid of, so maybe those will be my summer rims. I might end up lowering 1" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. If anyone knows whether a similar-year GA lowering kit might fit, lemme know.

I'm looking at putting on a Razzi GFX kit and replacing the headlights with Somerset ones. Any comments on doing this or other recommended mods are appreciated.
