Spitefire53s 1979 Triumph Spitfire Spitefire53s 1979 Triumph Spitfire this is a 79 Spitfire, a few mod to the interior, front dash with a build in cup holder the pulls out, a center console over brake handle, replaced Black PVC Top door trim finisher/capping, with fiberglass padded ones I made and sale, a hidden tool compartment behind Miata seats, as well as in the trunk, a new fuse panel, using 10 blade type fuses, instead of the standard 3 glass, installed under hood bonnet lites, as well as trunk lites, currently working on a motorized bonnet lifter, along with a center bonnet lock, instead of the two side locks. Replaced stock raditor with a Fiero one. Interior side kick panels with speakers.  Also designed sun visor with mirrow.

UPDATE: CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF changing the car, i have changed the front bonnet to the LeMans Style, see pic, will be replacing the steering column with a Fiero steering one, tilt, GM parts.  replacing the hand crank for the windows to power windows, ENGINE: will be replaced with a Ford 2.3, with an Infinati Q45 differential.  i have designed side door pockets, see pic, along with a fiberglass glove box with locking door.  along with that a rear trunk lid spoiler, still working on that, also under each wheel will be an electric jack, where i will have no need for a jack in the car, but just a push of a button and that side will lift.

Looking for anyone who has placed a Ford 2.3 in their spitfire, please contact me at spitfireoptions@yahoo.com

woow this is one lovely spit ,and the mods you have carried out are soo fine , i specially like the dash board and also the colour of the lining leather to the doors and top dash . if you may allow me to comment on red /blue stripes on the sides, i would have thought without them the car would look very elegant , anyway 5 seems the least to give this beauty..

Fellow Spitfire Owner My name is Wes Brown, I am retired Air Force and live in Schertz, TX. I am about to go where no man has ever gone. As you have or had a Spitfire, you did what a lot of people would like to do. Either by placing a more powerful engine in a Spitfire, brakes, differential change, something that has improved the overall aspect of the Triumph Spitfire or GT6. Like me and many others, weve ask ourselves; exactly what is involve in placing something completely different in a Spitfire. As there are a lot of factors involved, and a lot of engines that can, and have been placed in a Spitfire, the possibility are endless, and so are the questions. Where the problem lays, is that there is no detailed information, telling or showing exactly is involved. What parts, pictures, what to do, anything. Sure, some information is out there on the net, to make you form at the mouth, but nothing that can walk a person through it. You cant ask the person whos done it, for help. So what I am trying to do, and with your help I hope, is get that information out there, to get as much information as possible, which will help anyone, everyone, to understand what they need, from start to finish. A guide more or less, so that by following it, they too can complete an engine swap, differential, brake, anything that involves improving a Spitfire or GT6 with all the information in hand, without any surprises. The book that I am trying to put together will consist with as many popular engine swaps/differentials, brake, anything and everything, that a spitfire/GT6 has done and capable of being done. Nothing out of the norm, but something that an everyday person can do in their garage. This is not for the MGs or TRs out there, but Im sure informative as well to them, but for the Spitfire and GT6 owners. The name of the book is called Spitfire-Options Im writing to you because you have experience in this field. What I am asking is, would you care to add your knowledge and information to this worthy cause. You will get full credit, for pics, diagrams and information. The information on the web about what you have done is out there, but, more information would be needed to help someone achieve what you have done. More or less you telling someone what you did, how you did it, and what parts they will need. With this information, they too would be able to achieve this goal without any problems, or surprises, because of what youve already done. I ask you, please help other achieve what you have done by passing on your knowledge and experience so that Present and Future owners can experience the beauty, and the pleasure of a more effective Spitfire and GT6. Your knowledge and experience added to this book would only make this book that much more educational. If this is of interest to you, any pictures/drawing/spec and more details would be greatly appreciated. Please send all information to email address listed below. If you are not interested, in passing along your knowledge and experience to present and future owners, then I apologize for taking up your time, and ask that you email me at the address listed, saying not interest so that I do not bother you again, and I thank you, for what is already out there, so that others know, that it can be done. Again, thank you W. Brown spitfireoptions@yahoo.com
