This was my first car, I bought her from the original owner back in 2006. Before I saw it up for sale on the side of the road, I didn't even know what a Chevrolet Citation was, they are rare indeed. It was pretty basic, AM/FM radio, no air, no power windows and locks, but I didn't mind, she was basic transportation, with style.
She had a 2.8L V6 under the hood, backed up with a 3 speed auto, and she was fast. She handled very well, had a comfortable ride and was very versital with it's fold flat rear seats and big hatchback opening. She was great for camping and big bulky items, carrying friends around, or just cruzing. She was a looker, I got a lot of attention with it, whens the last time you've seen a Citation? I had a blast with it, that is, when she was on the road.
I had a few problems with it, radiator went, she was stalling a lot, changed all the electricals under the hood, only to find out it was a bad fuel pump. The lower control arm up front broke while I was driving, coolent hoses ruptured, and so on. She ended up costing me lots, but I just loved this thing!
I added chrome trim around the windows I got from a junked Citation, and a logitec 5.1 surround system that I hooked up to a inverter. SOUNDED AMAZING! I had plans for her, such as X-11 bits and peices, but the money always went to keeping her on the road. It got to the point where I could not dump no more money into her, so I parked her and put her up for sale. That and I found a 1985 Chevrolet X-11 for sale not to far away =)
