How to modify stock fogs for a 2002.
I have a 2005 LE 4 cyl.
This mod is for the 2002. I am assuming wiring is pretty much the same for all of the remaining years.
You are doing this at your own risk.
In order to turn on your fog lamps by themselves a very simple wiring modification is needed.
I have never done this mod, just providing the info.
1.-Locate the Fog light relay.
2.-Cut the red wire that goes to pin 10 of the connector. Tape the end at the connector for safety purposes.
3.-Splice a wire at the remaining end of pin 10 and run it to any switched power source. I recommend using the 12V accessory connector. Click here for info.
This should be all.
Now your fogs will come on as soon as you turn on the switch, regardless of the condition of any of the other lights.
This mod may be illegal on your state and you could get a ticket.
