Replacing bulbs in fog lamps.
Most OEM fog lamps and/or after market fog lamps come with H3 bulbs. However, the bulbs themselves come with a round male connector instead of a flat male spade connector.
When you go to the store to buy a replacement, the replacement itself comes with a flat male connector, hence they are incompatible.
What I usually do is to cut the original bulb's cable and splice a regular female spade connector as shown above.
From now on I can go to any store and buy any H3 bulb and use it with no problems.
