Fairlane500Freak's 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

This is My Dads Bel air that is curently in the process of being restored. My dad owned the car when he was in high school it was originally a strip car when he boughtit. It was white with bullshifter down the side in black gray and yellow letters. But he repainted it to a dark blue and bought a 283 and it a had shoe box on the hood. But he took it off when the hood caught fire driving it. Then he bought a 350 out of a 69 camaro and ever since then the car never changed. When he got out of high school he restored a 57 nomad. Then put the 57 bel air to sleep for about 5 years then moved it to his new house. Then it sat for 15 years then it sat for another 4 years and now is being restored. To the way he had it when he was in high school. Along with his and my moms high school tassles that have hung there for 32 and 30 years curently of tuesday march 6th the car now has the steering on and the guy that is rebuilding the engine which we got rid of the 350 and got a 400 he is half way done so we have picked up the pace so we can get the car on the rode by the end of this comming summer more pictures coming so be prepared thanks
