I bought this 1999 Honda Accord LX about 2 months after my Mercury Tracer died. My father lent me his Crown Victoria to drive to and from work while I searched for a new car.
I originally was choosing between a Camry, Sonata, or an Accord.
I took the Camry out of the equation however, because of a number of reasons:
1. Each generation of the Camry is uglier than the previous one.
2. It's the car of choice for bluehairs. You don't want to be stuck behind one at a red light.
3. Interiors are cheap and full of hard plastics.
The 2002-2003 Honda Sonata generation had good looks. It was a better looking version of the Jaguar XType. However, I decided not to get a Sonata because I came across this Honda first, and Hyundai has a spotty reputation of reliable cars for this generation.
I chose the Honda Accord because it's the underdog in the quality and durability race, and I don't want to be one of the 70 million people in America who have a Camry appliance.
I eventually came across a 1998 Honda Accord LX that was at 77k miles but it was already sold before I made a deposit on it.
I was stung by that, and I looked around the used car dealership and found out there was another Accord on the lot, albeit a more pricier version with lower mileage.
This is the side of the car. Obviously it looks the same on the other side.
I bought the car at 66k miles and it was traded in by one lifetime owner. It has no fleet registration, or rental registration at all.
Anyways, it doesn't have the raw power like my old Crown Victoria, but it will take me from point A to point B with excellent fuel efficiency!
The best news is that this car was traded in at an Acura dealership which also probably means the previous owner was happy about owning a Honda and she decided to get a more upscale Honda.

The front end looks extremely aggressive, doesn't it? The car came with only 66k on the odometer! SWEET!

The front seats are in excellent condition. No cigarette burns, stains or anything like that!
The back seat is also in pristine condition.

The back of the car isn't in bad shape either.

This is what the car would look like if I left it in Worcester overnight.
