10/2/06 - Traded it in and bought an '07 Audi A4 3.2 S-Line Avant. We needed a more practical car for our two dogs. It's been fun and who knows...maybe I'll return to the CLK in a few years.

7/27/06 - Hubby brought the car home and I was shocked! I like the drop (about 1.2") and he told me the PSS9s are set at "6" all around and feel kinda stiff while driving, but I'll get used to it or have him make the dampener softer (we'll see after the break-in period). Anyway, I think I like my old chrome wheels a little better because it looks more aggressive vs. the new wheel style he chose, but that's okay. Besides, he already found a buyer for the old wheels.
Anyway, the important thing is w/ the Bilstein PSS9s, H&R Sways (front and rear) and new AMG wheels, the car drives stiff, but not uncomfortable, corners flat and I feel more confident even speeding around turns now. Overall, it has a more aggressive stance and truly feels like a luxury sports coupe!

7/25/06 - After install, tried to have wheels balanced, but they were damaged. Hubby will probably sell them dirt cheap. Anyway, it's time for a change and my hubby was tempted to buy replicas because of how cheap they were, but decided against it. Instead, he bought real AMG wheels from TireRack and they're the same size as the ones being replaced. I'll have to post pics soon.

7/13/06 - Ordered Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers and H&R Sway Bars (Front and Rear). Can't wait to have them installed!
7/1/06 - Hubby changed the two front tires due to sidewall damage (bubble) most likely from potholes. Bought Goodyear F1 GS-D3s since they're rated #1 by both Car & Driver and Eurotuner (Nov/Dec '05 issues).
6/11/06 - Thanks to my hubby's negotiating skills, I got the car of my dreams! An '03 MB CLK55 AMG, 38K mi., Pewter, AMG Chrome Wheels 18x7.5" 225/40s (ET37) and 18x8.5" 255/35s (ET30), Dunlop SP Sport 9000s and Extended Warranty (Expires 6/11/09). Other Options Include: Parktronic, Garage Door Opener, Auto-Dimming Mirror, Cup Holder, Sunroof, Instrument Cluster w/ Mileage Read, Anti-Theft/Anti-Break In Warning Alarm, Anchor for Child Seats, Headlamp Washers, Xenon Headlamps, Emergency Wheel Spare, Bose Sound System w/ 6-Disc Changer, Keyless Go and Heated Windshield Washer. (I had the local MB Dealer look up my VIN to tell me all the options it came with.)
We traded in a Lexus IS300. A major upgrade, huh? Now, my car is faster than my hubby's '05 Audi S4 (V8, 340 hp, AWD). And he'll just have to live w/ that. LOL!
