Dan's 1987 GMC s15

This truck was purchased In July of 2005 and wrecked during the test drive. So the restoration began. I was able to salvage most of the body parts but some had to be replaced i.e. fender, a door, etc. Now it needs a new bed and tailgate due to stupid people backing into it. Here's the truck:

Bring the truck home! This was day one of the project.

First major task was to replace the cracked, faded, and rotting dash.

Due to the recent formatting of my computer, I was unable to backup my progress pics from when I first got the truck. So here is where the truck is at now. I will post pics in chronological order of the things I have done to it.

Obviously installed a new dash board and painted all the accompanying parts. I also installed a '97 S10 shifter and shift boot along with a custom knob.

Replaced the old doorpanels with new ones. The new are painted to match, have matching vinyl, and have shaved mapholders wrapped in black vinyl.

I also replaced the first 3 piece grille with this chrome one:

and then with this one!

The truck also includes a roll pan, 3"/4" drop, chrome door handles, painted mirrors, 16" ZQ8 Rims and Aurora H107 V-Radial Tires, fender flares, shaved badges, Crystal Clear Euro Taillights, dual exhuast with aftermarket dual output tips, painted grille with billet inserts, clear parking lenses with hyper white bulbs, clear corner lenses with hyperwhite bulbs, Diamond clear headlights with 5600K HID Bulbs and Ballasts, aftermarket front airdamn with foglight holes, chrome rearend cover, Edelbrock drop shocks in the rear, KYB Monomax drop shocks in the front, Addco front sway bar with polyurethane bushings, and a bunch of other stuff.

This is the custom intake I made for my truck. Consists of a 91 Cadillac 4.9 V8 FWD TBI Hat, K&N RE-0920 Cone Filter, 3.5" Aluminum pipe.

The new truck bed was recently acquired from a local junkyard. They never have beds in good condition but I found this one! I will have all the bodywork and have it in primer in the next week.
