My V8 conversion began in the early 80's with a Jaide kit and 283cid. I could never get it to cool for any length of time so it sat for years in several garages and then outside when I got married and "needed" the garage for storage space. I finally bit the bullet and spent a good chunk of change to have the problems professionally addressed. With a new Renegade radiator and tall geared transaxle, it was roadworthy after all these years. Even though the 283 had less than a thousand miles since rebuilt in the 80's, it leaked oil and ran terribly. A fellow 914 converter decided to upgrade to 427 sbc aluminum block so he sold me his 400hp 350 custom built to Edelbrock specs. I finally got it in and sold the beast to make room and cash for my new conversion, the "neo914-6" with modern styled body and Audi twin turbo V6. I really like the Red 914, great car. I bet that swap made that thing pretty god damned fast lol. So what is that you have done to the wheel wells? Is it just a body kit or did you roll the fenders way out or something.
