******NEW UPDATE,SEE PAGE 3 ***********

A bit of info on the car...it is a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 2dr hardtop...factory equipment is as follows: 390 4bbl,4 speed on the floor, Bench seat,Manual Brakes,Manual Steering, and Drum Brakes all around.
The car was restored 10 yrs ago or so by the owner and my father and since then the owner and myself have been taking care of it keeping it the way it looks now..the engine was rebuilt 8yrs ago..it was bored .030" over has a mild cam Edlebrock intake and carb, this winter plans may call for the Edlebrock Aluminum Heads.
Right now all we need to do to the car in the looks department is rechrome the bumpers, intall a new carpet and do a bit of trim work...now...on to the pics

Dude, don't forget bout the Fairlanes! just kidden, anyway, I'm almost done with my car, but recently i found a 64 galaxie 500 sitting in the back woods where i work and it's in need of some lovin, but the foundation is as hard as a rock. Plus the people who own the land want me to take it, it has a frozen 289 in it. you wouldn't happen to know if it's a 289 HIPO would ya? cause i know 64 was one of the first years of the 289 and it is a galaxie 500, but i can't really tell, and i'd like to know. type me back.

Sweet rides.love the Fast back styling.64 was the last year for Ford's signature round tail lights. My high school ride was found under a snow drift in Riverview, brushed the snow off the drivers window and spotted a Hurst Competition+ shifter and bucket seats. It started withnot too much difficulty.for $300.00 I had a "R" code to bomb around in.It succumbed to the Michigan rust monster in 72.Don't let go of that car!Ford forgot how to make em' like that....

I JUST LOVE GALAXIES ESPECAILLY 64s. I hate fender skirts though, I think they take away from the sleek style of the fastback. Stuff fats tires in there and throw away the skirts. Great car though, sell the skirts to biocow. So you don't get upset I own 3 Galaxies, 60 Starliner, 62 XL, and 64 XL all 2drs. Paul
