Welcome to our Mercury Capri Page! My Dad and I are in the process of restoring our 1982 Mercury Capri that currently has a 6 cylinder engine. In the near future, we hope to completely restore the body and Interior. Meanwhile, we also hope to insert a 1988 5.0 HO with a few Modifications! Check back to see the progress we have made.

NOTE: Currently looking for a Capri RS Hood Bulge!!!! If anyone has one please email me at pthomasb1@verizon.net
Thanks,
Peter

I have a 1982 mercury capri at my father's in upstate NY we are going to restore it just like you are someday. I think ours is an RS because it has a factory 5.0 HO carb engine and it has T-tops and a 4 speed stick all from factory. if you have any info on finding body parts let me know. jd4700tt@yahoo.com

Don't put the hood bulge on it. I have done it to 2 of my cars and regreted it. One I had to because of the 460 that I put in. It ruins the nice sleek look of the front of the car. If you can find the hood scoop that came with the mid '80s mustangs it looks a lot better. Have fun fixing the car up. Looks like a great project to do with your dad. Check out my '86 RS Capri.

Good luck with paint job. I think the bubblebacks are the coolest of the Capris. Check out mine-just got it to the body shop.
