Summer '08 Projects sum up:
-Brake Cooling Ducts
-4.30 gears/Bearings/Seals/Girdle/Speed Calibrator/31 spline Moser axles and FRPP LSD/TA Girdle
-Replace pullies and belt
-Replace Trunk Lifters
-FRPP Clutch Cable/Steeda Firewall Adjuster/Quadrant
-Sylvania Sylverstars
-Buy Helmet
-Motorcraft Coilpacks
-Taylor Spiro-Pro wires
-FRPP plate frame
-Nitto 555rDrag Radials (275s) and '03 Cobra wheels
-T-56 w/ 03-04 Cobra clutch/aluminum flywheel/aluminum driveshaft
-SCT Xcal 2 w/ D'Angonsota tune (eventually)
Got a bunch of clutch replacement pieces so shifting would be a little easier, though in the end it didn't help much...But now atleast it will be easy to put in a pedal height adjuster so the clutch pedal won't be 5 inches higher up than the rest (and adjust for a new transmission!). Install wasn't bad at all, just the typical awkward-upside-down-under-the-dash position for a while. The instructions included in the kit from Steeda say to pry on the clutch fork to get slack on the cable...the Shop manual says in big bold letters DON'T USE A PRY BAR OR PRY ANYTHING, and had extremely complicated instructions that involved removing the entire pedal assembly. So we came up with a semi-genius way to do it without doing either...block of wood:
(Note: When I did the trans swap later on, I used a crow bar on the trans case pressing on the clutch fork and did absolutely no damage, if your careful, I see no harm in this procedure, just watch where you place the bar)
Got My tuner, now I have to get a tune from somebody since dyno time isn't worth my money at this point:
I'm in the middle of installing a brake duct kit for the road course, got the fog light adapters on, now I have to high-temp paint the new dust shields, and get some high temp flexible hose:
Here are the replacement dust shields, before they got their 7 coats of VHT spray paint good to 1200°F. (See Page 6 for finished install)
Got a few parts for a tune up. Gatorback belt, and new Idler/alternator/tensioner pullies. Nothing exciting.
As I've said before, I'm a sucker for FRPP stuff, so here's the newest edition:
Finally fixed my damn wires that were making my dyno graph all peaky. I bought FRPP 9mm wires not long ago, and they were garbage, the wire was fraying out of them, I only had them on for maybe a year. Upgraded to some Taylor 8.5mm Spiros, I like the red better anyways :P

And I finally got myself my own helmet so I can stop borrowing people's at the track. SA2005 rated, so I can use it at the road courses too. Only like $160 shipped from UPR.
I got my DRs (275/40/17), can't wait to get to the track with them!
Gears came in too, just have to get them installed now...between these and the new tires, I'm shooting for 12s!!
Update: On September 4th, 2008 I dropped the car off to have the gears done (I know I said I'd never go to a shop again, but this was way over my head). I get a call the next morning that my axles are shot. Time to go 31-spline! Moser axles and FRPP Trak-Lok LSD go in as well, with some new wheel bearings too.

And a TA girdle to finish it all off.

T-56 and parts!! (See Page 6 for install)

A box of FREE spare parts!!
