This is my '93 MX-5 Miata.
She started life with a stock 1.6L engine. Something went wrong with that engine (haven't actually torn it down yet), so I decided to do a 1.8L swap. About a year later I completed that swap when that engine blew after running for about 30 miles, creating 5 holes in the engine block, and 1 in the oil pan. Not a good rebuild from
East Street Automotive in Tennessee.
So about a year later, I decided to put another engine in her. What can I say, I really like this car. So I got another 1.6L from a friend, but luckily it's not stock! It's been bored over .020", has upgraded pistons and bearings, and the head has been decked. I also got his Bosal header, free-flow cat, Bosal cat-back exhaust, and Racing Beat high-flow elbow intake. It's amazing how much more power this thing makes than the stock 1.6L.
