2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
This is the new addition to our automotive family. We had originally found a 2003 Monte SS Pace Car replica, but due to the various circumstances and a dealer that was less than honest and actually abusive in dealing with us, we moved on to find another candidate. We found this car at Whiteman Chevrolet in Glens Falls, NY. The car was purchased new by a bodyshop tech in 2003 for his wife. The car was ordered with every available option except XM radio. The car has under 40,000 miles on it and has been babied it's entire life. It still has the new car smell inside. Whiteman Chevrolet did an absolutely fantastic job in terms of ensuring this car was in showroom condition when we took delivery. We were defintiely much better off buying this Monte rather than the pace car replica from the other Albany, NY area Chevy dealer.
We will leave the car stock with the exception of adding headlight covers, seat covers, dash pad, and new floor mats. I will also post better pics when it's sunny out and I can get some decent images. What an awesome car and what an awesome dealer to work with!

UPDATES 3/3/2007
As you can see, I have done a few things to the SS to enhance the appearance. The first thing I did was clean the brake calipers and paint them red with the caliper paint kit found at auto stores like Advance and AutoZone. It took about 4 hours to do all 4 brakes, but the results were well worth the efforts. Not a bad investment, that's for sure.
I also added an aftermarket trunk lid mat I found on one fo the Monte Carlo forums I belong to. This mat really sets the trunk off and it wasn't a hard installation to accomplish either, both BIG bonuses in my book. The matt also actually works great as a sound deadener too. So far, this is the nicest appearance upgrade I made to the car.

The following pics of the car were taken after the upgrades were made. Once winter leaves for another year I will once again start on the mods I planned for this car. Stay tuned...
