new stainless steel, dual 2 1/4" exhaust, reupholstered suede buckets from an '89 T-Bird Sport Coupe, Grant steering wheel, Optima battery. Future plans include modified HEI distributor,
new vehicle wiring and a decent stereo (now it has an Alpine head unit and Infinity speakers--ugh!!!TRASH!!)

I think I'll plan a simple Nakamichi system

I've since added a an Accel 71105e Billet electronic distributor, 35367 ign module, Jacob's electronics' old NOS Ultra Coil, Accel 300+ plug wires, separate ignition switch fused (15-amp at battery), 1/0 gauge battery cables, a POWERMASTER starter/solenoid and Delco 12-SI 94 amp alternator.

More additions: TA water pump, Gates belts and hoses, radiator, flex-fan and spacer.

Next, I'll work on the stereo system--it will be a simple one. I'll probably use the Alpine Cd head unit, bypassing its internal amp, correcting the previous owner's wiring (what was this guy thinking???), with Monster cable old Pro Davide Navone-patented interconnect, a PPI/Butler/tube Driver 2150 tube/hybrid amp, or a PPI/Tube Driver TD-450 to bi-amp some old a/d/s speakers (AL6-- 6 1/2" woofer 1" copolymer tweeter). Zapco SX SL pre-amp/EQ/X-over. No subs planned yet.

It runs soooo well after the new ignition system. MPG went from 8.9 to 15.1. Idle is smooth-as-silk, throttle response is very crisp, no bogs or hesitations. Off-idle response is instantaneous. Mid-rpm to high-rpm response is great. Instant starts.

I got a stage1 455 in this. the EGR valve is permanently shut, the AIR pump is running. all the vacuum ports on the Quadrajet are plugged except to the vacuum advance on the ACCEL 71105E distributor (direct line; no TVS or TCS), HVAC, primary and secondary vacuum diaphragms, power brake booster.

I love driving this car. Even for a '73, this engine is torquey. last year before catalytic converter
