Picked up this sweet little '86 5-speed for $900. An all original, garage kept, California car in excellent condition! It has 165k but runs smooth and strong. The body is straight as an arrow and the previous owner just had the top half of the car recleared. The interior is perfect except for one small 2" tear at the seam in the drivers seat. Every accessory on this car is in working order. The downside is, the clutch needs to be replaced and the passenger side window doesn't work. Minor problems that will be addressed in due time. All in all, a pretty good deal. This will take me back and forth to work, daily. A 35 mile round trip.

UPDATE 1/20/07
Here it is with new 17" Cobra R's. I took it off the road for 2 months and added the wheels and tires, replaced the clutch, fixed the side window, relocated the TFI, replaced the cracked exhaust manifold with a ported E6, replaced the valve cover gasket, complete Motorcraft tuneup, changed tranny and rearend fluid, flushed the coolant, brake and power steering systems, added headlight relays, new pioneer head unit and gave it a stem to stern detail. I've been driving it every day for a couple of weeks and it runs like a top! I'm havin' fun!

ANOTHER UPDATE 5/20/07
Added some gauges. A/F and boost in a pillar pod and 1-1/2" oil press, water temp and volts in the equalizer hole.

Nowhere to stick the fuel gauge, so I put it in the ashtray.

My cold air intake setup. Just used a couple of VAM hoses and installed a stainless steel plate to cover up the swiss cheese. Second shot is of the K&N attached to the VAM hose with a 3" PVC coupler.

Here's a shot of my relocated TFI. Note the S/S plate to help deflect any engine compartment heat. Been driving it every day since January with nary a problem!

Here's the headlight relays. The front one is for the fog lights and the 2 in back are for low and high beams. The difference is dramatic! Very, very bright!
