It was time for something new and decided to do a 2T conversion. We took out the 4K engine which has done a good work and threw in the 2T. Of course some little mods have been done to the body to fit the engine. The fire wall of the european corolla where the transmission sits is a bit smaller than the us corollas. and here follows some pictures.


Also we have convert the differential after trying it with the stock one on the track it broke of in the second qualifing round. The differential is off a Ford Courier and is a bit smaller in length than the original one. A plus point of course.


After this conversion we decided to make the car turbocharged. We have many turboparts laying down in the garage and it was about time to experience something else. All engine components were remain stock but just the cam will be replaced for a turbocam and will use a CT26 out of a supra for this project. The main goal is to see how far we can boost a stock 2T and what ET numbers will it run.

This is a clip made by a drag fanatic. Its the only sclip I have of my car since my camara broke.
The best elapsed time we have achieve is a 12.13 sec. It could have been faster if we have smaller slicks like 22.5x8x15.
Update October 2008:
As of today the car is undergoing some minor rust treatment and will be paint soon.
The engine was took out and put into a corolla sr my little brother bought and I am now thinking in doing a new generation engine conversion. I am not sure yet cause I have a complete 3TC which can also do the job.

Januari 2010
Finally I got time to work on this car again. I will also do a new swap, a 4th generation 3SGTE.
The engine came in last week and we started making the plates to make the supporters both for the engine and transmission. Here is a pic of the fitment taking place.
