MikeEchoHB's 2005 Toyota Echo

I simply wanted to make this econobox more fun to drive. I've succeeded beyond my wildest expectations. I'm not really interested in cosmetic or sound system mods. I'm just looking for performance pieces that work and don't take anything away from the car's driveability. The car is a long term lease so major upgrades like a turbocharger/supercharger or engine swap are definitely out of the question for now.

No electric windows or door locks, AC or cruise control to add on power robbing weight. This car's strength is it's lightness and it's pretty decent drivetrain. The combination intake, exhaust, header and pulley give it a noticeable bump in performance and fun.

After 2 years of driving this thing, I can honestly say I never thought an entry level Toyota could be this much fun to drive. My 200 SX SE-R's (1995 and 1998)and Suzuki Swift GT (1992) were not even close. It also turns more heads than my 200 SX ever did. I love it !

So Far:

AEM cold air intake
Borla exhaust
TWM short shifter with Momo shift knob
Tein S-Tech springs
Motegi Racing RT5's (15 inch X 6.5)
Toyo Proxes 4 195/50 VR15
DC Sports 4 in 1 header
DC Sports strut tower brace
Perrin crank pulley
TRD grille emblem

Maybe later:

Tanabe underbraces
Progress sway bar
Brake upgrade
Shock/spring upgrade
Motegi traklite 2.0 wheels

WingZero, I'm not using the Yaris intake. The Yaris and Echo do not share the same intake parts and I'm not aware of any performance intakes for the Yaris. Mine is a Borla exhaust that was factory installed by Toyota's TRD department. It will not fit on the sedan. I'm sure that you can find a performance exhaust for the Echo sedan but I forget the names. Check DC Sports , Greddy or Blitz. Also, check the other guys on car domain who have modified their Echo's. Thanks for the comment.

5 out of 5 starts man. The rims look good. Question for you, I don't know much about the Toyotas, and I have a buddy looking for an intake for his 2005 Echo Sedan, but I don't see a listing for the Echo on AEM's site. Are you using the Yaris intake?
