June 16th 2006: Just installed a new aluminum driveshaft made for an LS1 (98-02 Trans Am). Stock, my LT1 trans am came with a heavy steel driveshaft which, with my 3.73 gears was overworked, and sent vibrations through the whole car. It literally felt like it was going to shoot through the floor. With the new aluminum driveshaft which is also wider in diameter, the vibrations are totally gone and the car drives normal again. Also, it is a little bit lighter...every little bit helps.
August 25th 2006: Recently installed BMR chromoly subframe connectors. They made a huge difference in the stability of the car, the launch and the overall feel. Now, the car is much more solid when launched.
July 11th 2007: Installed a new Jensen flip screen cd/dvd player. I don't really have much intention of going beyond that since I have a strictly "horsepower only" policy for this car, meaning, nothing goes in unless it gives me more power. I made an exception, however, for the cd player since I wanted something that plays MP3 cds because the stock one doesn't. Pictures of the new unit are on page 3.
