Meet my mildly modded Clio Sport 172. 1st mod was a Borla Turbo stainless steel backbox with twin dual Merc-type tips for a husky growl. Then came in the Pipercross Viper cold air intake for healthier lungs. En suite I installed and grounded Nology Hotwires and Nology Silverstone sparks. Nothing more for the engine so far. Suspension is quite stock, except for an OMP front strut bar and Powerflex polyurethane bushings to strict-up the steering. Finally, the lightweight Enkei's for more nimble handling. Inside nothing more than AutoMeter fuel pressure & oil temperature pillar pod gauges. On the wishlist is a full bodykit - nothing extreme though - and Morette quad headlights. Under consideration: a rear strut bar or a full rollcage from K-Tec, and a vented or solid carbon fiber bonnet from K-Tec also. Wottyall think?

Pipercross Viper cold air intake in lieu of extra illumination. Prima Racing "1600" type bonnet vent.

I think the theme song for the new Megane ads apply here as well. "Shake that a**"! while a Prima Racing "1600" type spoiler dominates the top.

Profile in 17" Enkei RPF-1's, a claimed 15 pounds per wheel, & 215/40/17's.

My previous wheels before the Enkei's. 17" Sky's. Very nice & big, filling out the arches more than the current Enkei's, but very heavy too; had to let go. Wish I could let go of the ugly mini-bus in the background too!

Stay tuned for picture updates & engine bay pictures to come soon... Cheers

Well, after sooo looong - & only after I sold it (snif! sigh...) - here are some of the last pix after some additional cosmetic mods - including those frowny Morette quad headlights up front and Autostyle 3-D stoplights at the rear. Performance upgrades were also done on the Clio.

As can be seen here, the twin quad exhaust has been replaced with a full Supersprint exhaust system, delivering proper performance AND awesome sond as opposed to just sound and looks with the previous set-up.

Under the race-striped bonnet, the engine was upgrade with a set of Schrick cams, & an ITG replacement panel filter took the place of the Simota Twincharger (which had taken the place of the Pipercross Viper before it). While it didn't offer the awesome look of the blue Simota open-air element, performance-wise it was much more in sync with the rest of the re-tuning.

Well, finally, due to financial circumstances I hate to admit, the Clio had to go. I had it for for 6 years and have enjoyed driving like nothing else in my life.
Nowadays, I drive this to & from work & with the family

Still very kool. A different driving experience of course. A Cruiser indeed and much more laid back... There's always the option of a turbo/supercharger upgrade though, or, drop in a Hemi maybe? Hmmm... food for thought.
And... on the weekends, this is my new ride

Rumblin innit?!
