Before you go and bash me for saying I don't have my own car, heres a link to my cars site: http://members.cardomain.com/89mx6gt
This is my dads 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS with a 396 under the hood. He has owned this car since fall 67, making him the orginal and only owner. And someday i hope to be the second owner. Right now i'm 18, but i've never driven standard before and even if i could, i doubt my dad would trust me with it. For anyone that doesn't know, SS stands for Super Sport, and RS stands for Rally Sport. Its pretty much stock. And its also in near mint condition. The engine looks a bit rough but thats because its never been rebuilt or repainted. Also take this into account, this car has never been restored, and its been stored in its wooden shed every winter since 1977 or even earlier. ENJOY!!

Heres some new pics from July 3, 2004.
I took this pic just after I washed it with my Mr Clean Auto Dry thing. It really does work, so if you've been thinking of buying it, buy it, cause it works.

Heres my dad backing down the driveway on his way to work. Thats my car in the foreground.

One type of pictures that I had been missing here were pics of it actually on the road somewhere else then our backyard. So I took these pics of my dad taking off down the street.

In this pic if u enlarge it u might be able to see a little bit of smoke behind the rear drivers side tire. This was by total fluke since he wasn't trying to do it and I just happened to push the button at the right time.

Finally here it is parked downtown. I went out to Canadian Tire so i brought the camera with me to get a picture of the car somewhere other then my house.

Hopefully there will be more pics comin soon.
In the pic below you can see our old truck in the background. We got rid of that truck and bought a new one in fall 87, so that means this pic was taken before 87.

The pictures above are kind of old, they're from the early to mid 80's.
These pics below were taken September 1st.

Rear of the car. The piece of wood going from one corner of the shed to the other is a brace for the shed. Without the brace, the shed kinda leans now, since the shed itself is over 20 years old. The floor of the shed is also not in very great shape, and yet, the car is still in great shape.

Rear of the car without the brace.

Rear of the car with the trunk open.

Side view

Interior pics. In the third pic I'm the person in the rear view mirror.

Pic of the hood. The vents are fake and are part of the RS package along with the hideaway headlights.

An angled pic of the front. I can't get a good straight shot of the front because theres a fence just over a foot in front of the car.

Engine pics. As you can see its no show stopper. But thats because its never had to be removed to rebuild it or anything, so its never been repainted. The sticker on the air filter cap says 396 but its kinda hard to see in these pics cause the edges of the sticker are frayed.

This is a picture of the old headers that were on the car until me and my dad changed them a couple years ago.

These are the headers we put on. They are 2.5" compared to the old one which were 2". We changed them because my dad liked the sound of the 2.5" better.

Rear tire. The rims on the rear of the car are 15" Cragar SS, and the rims on the front are 14" Cragar SS. All four tires are Goodyear Eagle ST's. My dad has a few other tires downstair, including 2 Bobby Unser tires, which can be seen in the first 4 pics, on the same rims. He doesn't have them on because they are wide tires, and in Ontario, i don't know if the law is the same anywhere else, its illegal to have your tires stick out further than the fender of the car. I guess thats part of the reason why he has those mud flaps on. And yes, he has been told by a few people to take them off.

The Camaro SS badge on the left front fender.

Here she is pulled out of her shed. The man under the hood is the owner, my dad.

Picture of the engine while its running.

See the blackness on the underside of the hood, thats not paint, thats dirt and grime. like i said, its not a show car. i've told my dad to wash the engine and underside of the hood, but hes worried about water getting in the carb and stuff.

The two pictures above show one of the features with an 68 Camaro with the RS package, the hide away head lights. They used to be operated by a little motor but that motor gave out a while back and he hasn't had the need to get a new motor because he doesn't enter any car shows so he doesn't need it.

This picture is to show the 396 sticker on the air filter cap.

LOOK AT THE DUST!!!

This is a shot of the interior while the cars running. Notice the sweet owl keychain hanging from the ignition.
Theres my dads car. Its back in its shed for the winter now, so when may or june rolls around, i'll get some more pics, hopefully some better ones.
