INTERIOR
June 01, 2006: These are a few pics of the interior. It has been redone in white with gold piping to match the exterior. Note the custom center console with tachometer. Eventually, a Vintage Air air conditioning system will be installed with vents on the outer sides of the console.
August 8, 2006: Replaced the home-painted speedometer assembly with a stock black one. Looks and reads so much better. The white one was a nice touch, but the hand painted gold numbers were sloppy. I think the black matches better with the Buick logo center mantle. See pics below.
August 15, 2006: Picked up the car from Little Joe's Rod Shop in Margate FL (about 30 miles from me). Had the Vintage Air Conditioning system installed. Looks and feels cool! What a big difference in this Florida heat!! The center console vents are chrome to match nicely with the white console and accents. The two side vents I thought looked better black as they almost disappear. Under the hood a custom compressor bracket was made, and the driving pulley was custom fab'd and installed on the dampner.
August 19, 2006: Today I replaced the white tachometer and also installed matching water temp, amp and oil pressure gauges. I thought the black faces were a nice contrast to the white interior as well as matching the OEM speedo assembly (that used to be white too).
