Found some time to install the amber LED's that i had bought a while back.
Took my own measurements from the back of the tail light and then made this template to keep the lights in order.
Taped it in place.
Used a good sharp point to poke through the paper and into the plastic. When i pulled the paper off, i hand spun a small drill bit on the marks to make sure i could see them well and ensure a good starter hole.
Started small, worked my way up.
Here's the pile of supplies: 40 5mm amber LED's and LED holders. These lights are shouldered, so really, i could have done without the holders.
Holders in place and some LED's installed.
All of them lined up.
Used silicone to seal any moisture out and lock the LED's in place. Seperated the positive and negative, then tapped into the stock wiring to the turn signal bulb. Added some zip strips when it was all done to keep it clean.
