The v6 lasted a week. Other than that, it's pretty plain.17 years and still being raced. It's seen a 350, 383stroker, dad's L88-427( very tight fit, and it's nut's) for last 4 summers, and it's new engine was dino'd over 550 hp in late may.. A midlife crisis 355 for the summer. My hobby for over the last 15 years, it's been done, and redone 5 times with different combinations. Now it sit's in the shop, all the unibody seams are being re-welded. It's subframed, tubular control and panhard, a moser 12 bolt rearend with several gear combo's( the moser 9inch I found too noisy if any-1 cares), 4-wheel disc,th700r racing trans with a 3500 stall converter or my 6 speed, whichever I decide shortly. My new engine(just finishing the small stuff before installing) is a '72 high nickel ***010-350 block, everything else is new,,, scat crank and rods, forged pistons(12cc dome/10.68-1comp.), balanced, blueprinted, comp cams mech. roller. It was custom ground in relation to the length of the runners from the carb to the valves to the exaust. Roller lifters/rockers,the 2.08 intake valves breath awsome with the 22occ runners, opened up some by race ported/polished by hand.,64cc comb., world racing heads, ported/blended victor intake, shiny Edlebrock carb(flow matched),9000rpm redline, all arp studs/bolts, and a piece of chain for the left head to the plate welded to the frame has been there for years. And it hooks great. It's hopefully all under the hood, this time?, better pump-gas friendly, and the suspension has years of upgrades as well too. Z28 steering box, little bigger sway bars, all the joints, poly..bushings, springs, shocks. Cage is next. I have a new set of centrelines on now and I think they look sharp. At the track I've seen as high as 12.5 with the first 350 when I bought it, and as low as 9.9 with dads motor and good tires. Hopefully soon, I'll have some time, to strip my honda 1000 with the car and see which is faster. rate my car please, i'm curios, even though not quite finished,, again. Any comment/suggestions?
