More Pics of the 406 long block
Here is a pic of the motor during naturally aspirated Dyno Testing shown in the Nov 2005 Super Chevy Magazine Tech Article "The New Danger Mouse"
After it was all said and done the motor churned out 481.5 HP @5800 RPM and 470 lbs/trq @4500RPM Naturaly aspirated. Not bad for 8:5:1 Compression and 65lbs injectors. Only 23.5 HP off the pace of the 2006 ZO6 Corvette's LS7 505HP! And I'm giving up 21 Cubic Inches.
Now comes the BOOST!
The motor using a ATI Procharger D1-SC made 13psi @ 6300rpm and produced 800hp. All on 91 pump gas. I can't wait to put the motor on VP Race Gas and Methanol Injection!!
