Phase 3 was ignition control and feedback installation. The Turbo XS knock light and knock sensor installation was necessary, no knock detection system was installed from factory. High and Low Octane fuel maps are activated using throttle position than the traditional knock count.
A'PEXi ITC - Ignition Timing Converter
The Super ITC adjusts ignition timing by +/- 15% by modifying the crank/cam angle signal on certain vehicles. The timing curve is adjusted by setting the timing at 5 different points along the RPM range and the values between are interpolated by the ITC from those 5 points. The Super ITC used in conjunction with the Super AFC fuel controller creates a new dimension of tuning with piggyback computers.
Intallation and instruction to wire the ITC to the 03 Galant.
The instructions are for the ITCs wire discription, NOT to be wired to the ECU as in diagram.

Now these are the wires I want, 1st - the camshaft position sensor signal wire (light blue with yellow stripe), 2nd - is the crankshaft position sensor signal wire (green with red stripe).
They need to be cut and connected to the wires diagramed in the instruction manual. The other manual M6a is there as a referance to the block on where to locate the signal wires
going to the ECU. The wires are located on 26P on the right side, one on top of the other.

Installed and working GREAT.

Oil Cooler Installation. Im sure we all seen oil advertisements about viscosity break-down. Well I do not want any kind of breakdown so I installed coolers.
Oil filter re-locator.
Oil cooler mounted in cage that I welded to the frame. Yes! I will be painting it (the welds) when the engine is pulled in the next week or so.

Behind the mod-ed grill.
Oil filter relocator with filter attached, along with another ugly weld picture. Sensor mounts are on the top and will be connected after rebuild. I will be running all sensor wires through the factory wire bung.

This is where the oil filter used to be, now there are two lines, in/out. It is important to follow the line to make sure that the line coming out of the middle gets connected to the middle of the relocator unit.

Will need to make a support bracket along with skid-plate to protect the oil lines from rubbing the road. This along with the crappy 1/8 NPT end caps to plug up the 2 sensor accessory on the oil relocator. Both are made of aluminum and just did not seat right. So a run to NAPA gave me new brass end caps. There are NO leaks.
I will also be replacing the seats this summer (08), after that I will start to focus on interior & exterior for some style.
Turbo modifications and final check.
