September 17, 2006. We sold the Nova, too much of a hassle to get it to Georgia. :( It was sad seeing it be loaded up to the new owner. There are a lot of opportunities for more cars down south, but I really enjoyed having this car. I intend to get either a camaro, another nova, or if I'm lucky, a demon.
July 21st, 2006. Well, the car is home. Been home for a few weeks now, I just haven't updated. Running good, and sucking that gas down. I've also listed what's going to happen next, we're going to get a new fuel system, as the current one isn't doing too good, our gauge is off, and the neck on the tank needs to be replaced. We're also going to put a 700r4 in it, and probably a 3800 stahl, as our current one is a shitty 2000. She goes great though, we've been burning those shitty futuras up. (Need an excuse for new tires :-P) I've also been considering putting the SS wheels on it. The rallies just look too plain jane to me. Idk yet, still thinking about the air-shock conversion, but for now dropping the 454. We'll see in a year or two. Alright though, until next time.
June 17th, 2006. Upon further inspection, we found out that we had a broken valve, which, was the problem/high idle. It was cylinder 6 making up for cylinder 1 being down. We also found out one of our heads are cracked, so we're going to order some new heads, thinking along the lines of some world chevy torquers, or some sportsman-II. If you have exprience with either, I'd appreciate some input! Alrighty though, I'll get pics up later this week, as I have personally not been to the shop, just going off of what my father has told me.
June 12th, 2006. Well, we took the Nova to the shop today. And ordered a 383 stroker kit, listed at over a grand, we ordered it for $620 :). So, it'll be getting torn down this week, and bored/stroked, going to upgrade the heads in a few more weeks though. We just want to get it running for the show this weekend.
June 8th, 2006. The past few days the car has had a weird idle, so upon further inspection, we discovered cylinder 1 is down. So this week we'll be tearing the block down, probably pushing off the 454/400 combo for now, as the 350 will need to get rebuilt. Not sure yet on a setup. More will be coming soon.
May 30, 2006. When I first moved here last October, we noticed a Red Nova down the street, it wasn't for sale at the time, but last Saturday we saw the sign, put the Cutlass for sale, and picked this beauty up. More pics will be taken tomorrow, as, it just started down pouring here.
