Here is my '84 LTD LX. These LX models were made in late '84 and '85. They were the only mid-size (Fox-chassis-based) LTDs with a floor mounted shifter. They also came only with the H.O. 5.0L engine and an AOD transmission.

I purchased this LX for $1500 in December of '04. Only modifications that I know of are an aftermarket CD player and a Flowmaster muffler. It had been repainted sometime by two owner's prior to me. A clearcoat had been applied over the original color/repaint at that time. The paint needed to be done again but other than that it was a nice daily driver needing no work whatsoever.

With two weeks of getting it back on the road my then girlfriend (now wife) smacked into the rear of a Ford Ranger. Pics of the damage (mostly cosmetic but requiring the entire front end be replaced) were taken the following day and are located on the page two.
