1948 "Unreel" Chevy truck powered by a 1968 Oldsmobile 455 (390 hp/513 ft-lb. torque) through a Turbo 400 Automatic. The drivetrain is from a '68 Toronado. The front suspension/ steering is from a '71 Toronado. The truck features air conditioning, power steering, 4 wheel disk brakes, power seats, power doorlocks and windows, shaved door handles, frenched headlights (51 Ford) / tailights ('50 Mercury), Superior Cast Aluminum Rims, and just too many fabricated parts and mod's to list. The truck is painted Porsche Guards Red and is a real attention getter anywhere I take it!

Like that TRUCK. QEustion, was that transmission an OJ or OM code? Someday I need to get in contact with a gu out in Jay, Maine (Rick has a 68 Toro 455/THM 425 tranny /diff and part of the frame to teh back of a Ford Ranger. He had aquestion out the torsion bars(ie how to set teh chassis up).
Back in 1999 I sold my black 68 to Rick (if I knew was he was up to I would of never sold him the car(85% finished). Lets put it this way - I would giving away a 68 Toro parts car instead). 4-5 years later I get in touch with Rick an dI saw my old car was in three diffrettn areaa, the nose in one side of teh shop, the shell(the car cut from teh firewall, no wheels) and teh drivetrain tin the rear of the truck.
I'll dig out Rick number sometime to get in touch with him
